Glyfada Beach Hotel, Corfu is located at the quieter western end of Glydada Beach and its golden sand. This family-run hotel is just 30 metres from the beach and most rooms enjoy wonderful views of the Ionian Ocean and its amazing sunsets. The hotel has been welcoming guests since 1979 and was completely refurbished in 2008.
Next to the hotel is a traditional Greek taverna which is owned by the same family and where you can enjoy fresh fish and other Corfiot specialties. Further along the beach there are some bars and a mini-market. Each summer an international beach volleyball tournament is held here.
The famous Corfu resort of Glyfada, with its Blue Flag beach, is a popular destination for holiday-makers from all over the world. The beach, surrounded by spectacular tree-covered cliffs, offers a variety of water sports and there are sunbeds and umbrellas for hire. The water is shallow which makes Glyfada especially suitable for families with children.
